Precision helps here, because part of the toolset behaves the opposite way.

1. The file is sent

PDF to Word needs a conversion service, so the document leaves your device. The page tools upload nothing.

2. The structure is rebuilt

Text runs are grouped into paragraphs, headings are identified by size and weight, and table cells are reconstructed from the grid the original implied.

3. You get a document back

It opens in Word, Pages, LibreOffice or Google Docs. Everything in it is editable, including the parts the reconstruction got wrong.

4. The result is deleted

A server-side result is held for sixty minutes and then removed. Download it in that window, or run the conversion again.
